What's My Writing Process?

Hello All!

Have you ever been in a class, and a professor or teacher has the audacity to assign you a huge essay or report that's only due in either a couple of days or in a few weeks? And after looking at what the prompt is about, and how all of the formatting should be, you understand what your goal for the paper, right?

Taking a step back, and looking at how we all work, we can see that everyone has their own way of writing their own paper or essay, how they decide to manage their time, and how much effort the feel like putting into their essay. Some will write their rough drafts over and over again while editing and revising each and every little detail; others will write one basic paper and think that it's good enough to turn in; and there's always those who decide to work on their assignments a few days or even the night before it's due.

If I take a break and look at how I see myself during my own writing process, I can see that I am a mix of everyone that was described above. Once assigned a topic, I tend to procrastinate, and have the tendency to start the assignment about a couple days before it's due. But once I start writing, there's no stopping me! I usually write everything I have going on in my brain at once, hen completed, I end the first draft to a friend and ask what their opinions are based upon what they think about my paper. After receiving their comments, I write another draft and have them re-read it. Once I get the final revisions done, I check for any last minute mistakes and go ahead and wrap up my paper. It may not be a long and complicated, or a short and simple process, but it works for me!
